May 24, 2013 Days 1-3 Beginning the Down East Loop

After
a month filled with boat maintenance and upgrades, provisioning the boat,
taking care of all doctor appointments, visiting friends, attending a wedding, and even renting the
house, we are off again!
We
had the chance to begin our trip by joining Bill’s brother Bob and our
sister-in-law, Gennie and their Poquoson Yacht Club on a Memorial Day Weekend trip
to Cape Charles on the south eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay. The girls spent the weekend shopping in the
quaint, but small downtown area, and combing the beach for sea glass. We all enjoyed a great potluck dinner on
Saturday night and played a fun round of Left-Right-Center! We had a good time visiting with everyone and
relaxing before our journey was about to take us north.
