Great
Kills Yacht ClubStaten Island, NY
This
had to be our shortest cruise ever! We left our anchorage at Sandy Hook at 8:30
and arrived at the Great Kills Yacht club before 10:00. John Calasciabetta was here to catch our lines.
John is a member of the club and a former Looper. He makes us all very welcome
here, and we appreciate his help and friendliness.

After
we got settled, John took Dawn & Colin (Movin’
On) and Joyce to the grocery store to do some provisioning. We spent the rest of the day relaxing,
realizing our days on the ocean were taking their toll on us.
At
5:00, we met Colin and Dawn for a drink at the clubhouse. Then we walked to a
nearby restaurant for dinner. We had a great time getting to know them. We enjoyed hearing their stories of life in
Australia.
Tomorrow
the four of us will tour NYC!
